PIPE LEAK PUPS - CANINE PIPELINE LEAK DETECTION
Meet Nikole Tackett
Nikole grew up in an oil field town where she began working as an Administration Assistant for an oil company at a young age. Through-out the years, her understanding for the oil field and natural gas world was developing. In 2017, Nikole was managing an office for a pipeline construction company in Dayton, TX, when she was given the opportunity to travel to Florida to become a canine pipeline leak detection trainer/handler. As you could imagine, there was little hesitation, if any at all. After passing the hands-on examination as well as the written exam with flying colors, she helped establish Pipe Leak Pups, LLC.
As soon as they got all the tools and information they needed to be successful, Pipe Leak Pups hit the ground running. Nikole and her K9 team impressed and surpassed the expectations of everyone they completed jobs for. As far as in the summer heat near Mexico on an 8-mile pipeline, to North Louisiana where the rain and mud holes did NOT stop them on an 18-mile crude oil line where they found 5 leaks. They have also been successful for being the first canine pipeline leak detection business in the world that has a maintenance program with a large oil company. Although, they have been victorious on all of their jobs, she strives to develop new and faster methods, as well as recognition in the canine leak detection world.
Nikole Tackett is a 28-year-old canine trainer and entrepreneur and has been managing and training all of the canines for Pipe Leak Pups for the last year, although she was struck by a Rottweiler when she was seven, her love and interest for dogs grew. Her first dog was a yellow lab and she taught him everything she knew. As she grew older, her passion for dogs never ceased. She never dreamed she would have the opportunity to work with canines, little did she know it would be in her grasp later down the road.
